FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions buyers ask before the first call, answered the way we'd answer them on the call.

01
What does an AI readiness assessment cost?

The AI Readiness Sprint is $9,500 fixed for two weeks: an assessment of your data and workflows, a costed roadmap of where AI pays, and one working proof of concept. Payment is 50% to start, 50% on delivery.

02
What is a Throughput Diagnostic?

A three-week, $14,500 operations-science engagement for hospitals, surgery centers, and clinics. We find the binding constraint in your patient flow, measure it from your own data, put a dollar figure on every day it persists, and deliver a relief plan with a projected throughput gain.

03
Do you work under HIPAA and sign BAAs?

Yes. Early-stage engagements avoid PHI entirely. Where clinical data is genuinely required, work proceeds under a signed BAA with E&O and cyber insurance in force and minimum-necessary access. Every statement of work states plainly how and whether AI tools touch your data.

04
Do AI tools train on our data?

No. Client data is never used to train models, never placed in consumer-tier AI products, and never shared across client contexts. Enterprise or API tiers only, with training disabled; human review on every AI-assisted deliverable, and an AI Use Addendum listing exactly which tools touch which data.

05
Do you only work with healthcare organizations?

Healthcare is the deepest specialty; thirteen years of it. The methods carry to any industry with data and a workflow problem, and non-healthcare engagements are welcome.

06
Who actually does the work?

Tyler Kent, the principal. Strategy and delivery from the same person; no handoff to junior staff, because there isn't any junior staff.

07
Do you bill hourly?

No. Fixed price or flat monthly retainer, with written acceptance criteria in the statement of work before anything starts.

08
Do you work remotely?

Yes. Based in San Diego, working with organizations anywhere in the US. On-site time can be scoped in when it helps.

09
How does an engagement start?

A twenty-minute intro call. Bring the problem; you'll get an honest read on whether it's an AI problem, a data problem, or neither. If there's a fit, a two-page fixed-price proposal follows within 48 hours.
